Ourika Valley, Aghmat Archaeological site and Al-Mutamid Ibn Abbad Mausoleum

You leave the Riad with your private driver on a 4×4 (circa 1 hour trip).
Ourika Valley is situated in the eastern area of the Jebel Toubkal and its main attraction is Setti Fatma village with its moussem (in August) and the seven falls.
The village is inhabited by mountain Berbers and in the summer is a highly esteemed holiday destination for wealthy Moroccan people. Souvenir stands, camping places and picturesque little restaurants on the grass are waiting for you just few kilometres from Marrakech in a very relaxing and suggestive place.

Along the way to Setti Fatma, visit of Aghmat archaeological site, a pre-Islamic city, older than Marrakech: by the site you can admire the ruins of a monumental Hammam, a stretch of the surrounding city walls and the foundation of a bourgeois palace undergoing renovations.
Visit of the nearby maaghmatusoleum of the poet/king Al-Mutamid Ibn Abbad (1040 – 1095) where its wife and its daughter had been buried too.
In the evening, back in Marrakech.
